WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS
This role is responsible for providing technical knowledge on the products and forming a key part of the sales process in developing long term relationships with the customer base.
As a provider of technical products, this role supports new sales opportunities and carries these through from inquiry stage through to order. In addition, where required, the role includes on site support for the products from commissioning to product training.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute Sales Action Plans & strategies for growth with assigned product portfolio
Manage new sales inquiries from quotation stage through to sale
Expand opportunities within existing customer base for new sales
Monitor existing customer installations to improve customer satisfaction, maintain customer relationships and identify other opportunities
Provide ongoing technical support for product portfolio
Use appropriate sales pipeline management tools consistently and effectively to support sales goals
Maintain clear and up to date calendar and call plans
Develop market plan, taking account of product life cycle, market trends and maturity
Manage and develop supplier relationships, to include responsibility for meeting annual performance targets
Develop solid knowledge of the market including competitors, customers and suppliers
Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) relevant to the company.
Support the Marketing team in providing technical & application based knowledge on products for campaigns and identify suitable exhibitions/conferences to attend for promotion of product portfolio.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Third level qualification or relevant Apprenticeship in Process Instrumentation.
Experience with Instruments ranging from Pressure, Flow & Temperature to Analytical measurements.
MS Office (word, excel and power point)
Confident, motivated individual with strong communication skills
Full Clean Drivers Licence
